Our Story
Concrete to Creek started with a simple pattern: the city is loud, and a real trail resets things. Nick built this service to make that reset reliable for dogs, with structure and standards instead of guesswork. The goal is a dog who comes home steady, not a dog who comes home spun up.
About Concrete to Creek
Concrete to Creek is a premium wilderness adventure service for dogs outside the city. Premium here means standards: thoughtful planning, safe transport, small groups, and calm handling that keeps the day controlled and smooth. Outings are full-day experiences with pickup and drop-off in NYC, an assessment required, and off-leash time used intentionally when conditions support it. We are not socially exclusive; we screen for fit, safety, and capacity only. Dogs return tired and settled, not overstimulated.
Meet the Founder
Concrete to Creek is founded and led by Nick Viscomi, the primary guide on every outing. He works directly with each dog from the first assessment through field days, because consistency and clear responsibility produce better outcomes for dogs and less guesswork for owners. Nick built Concrete to Creek after realizing the simplest truth: real time outside makes city life easier, for anyone with a nervous system. Dogs get the same reset, so he built a structured way to deliver it, with high standards and no chaos.
Nick’s approach is calm, structured, and science-based, with groups kept intentionally small for the provide each dog with the attention and care they deserve. He holds Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder training, Canine CPR and First Aid certification, Fear Free handling training, Leave No Trace training, and continues science-based training education through recognized credentialing bodies.
